Expat Programs Limited in Vaud Schools

The Tribune de Genève published recently an article about specific schooling systems for the children of expatriates in the Canton de Vaud. It states that "The canton’s education department has no plans to provide special programs tailored to the needs of Anglophones in the Lake Geneva region." Due to the development of multinational companies in the region, the private schools, who provide tradionally schooling that corresponds to the needs of expatriates, are full. They cannot expand further due to the shortage of land in the region. On the other hand, the public school system cannot provide specific programs for expat children in English, due to the lack of bilingual teachers, and because their number doesn't reach the critical mass. It could create problems for multinational companies considering relocating to the Canton de Vaud, if their managers cannot find an appropriate school system for their children.
